Where my inspiration began…

My doctor told me I needed to go on cholesterol lowering medication. I told her I was too young for that. She told me to eat skinless chicken breast. I told her that I already do. She told me to exercise 3 times a week. I told her I already am. Offering me no viable solutions, I turned to my brother who had already lost 58 pounds in 12 weeks.

That’s when I finally made the choice to try something new.

I lost 18 pounds in 6 weeks and lowered my cholesterol by 50 points.

This was the beginning of a brand new life. I hope it will be for you too!

We all have one thing in common, if we don’t take care of our health, there is a price to pay. As I entered my late 40’s, my doctor prescribed medication as she brought to my attention the gradual changes my body was undergoing.

I was not paying attention to the weight I was gaining, heck I thought my clothes were shrinking. Honestly that is what I thought! I also started waking up with backaches and figured it was just part of the “aging process”. My cholesterol was climbing and I attributed my lack of energy to the stresses of teaching and how much I gave all day to my young students in the elementary classroom.

It was then I decided to take back my health, not by taking medications, but by creating healthy habits. I made the necessary changes, including following a structured eating plan. The change in my body, my health, and my life turned around within 2 months. I lost 18 pounds, I significantly lowered my cholesterol by 50 points, and I had energy that was through the roof.

I discovered that fueling my body properly did not take a lot of calories, and that nutrient dense food has a strong impact on my body and my mind. I began to recognize that healthy daily rituals are the key to long lasting health and happiness.
